Hell, the Monte Carlos I so adore were the highest recalled american car in history until the Pontiac Fiero came out.
The answer to your question was posted above, but I'd like to make it clear that I did not include MRIs in my above counts (which was for a different topic). MRIs are the things you refer to which are instructional only, TSBs are actual problems that have been identified as occuring on a significant number of vehicles but are not serious enough to warrant a safety or other federal recall.
