Did they use a different name for the actual recipient other than your wife's? If so, go up to the door dressed in a UPS uniform and ring the door bell. When they answer, say; "I have a package for Martha Stewart (or whatever the crooks name is)" and then when they say, that's me, drag her out by the hair and drive her head into the pavement. When she looks up all bleeding and dazed tell her "Buy one more thing on my credit card - I dare you bI tch!"

Chances are she won't tell the cops about it, and the theivery will stop.

If the cops do harass you about it, then tell them that their Fraud Squad didn't do a damn thing when you reported it, even though you had all the info for them.

If it goes to court, it'll get thrown out and I'll rally to have you elected for El Presidente!

Now that sounds like a real British way of doing things! Funnily enough this reminds me of when I started a little debt collection agency back in the UK. It's amazing the results that an old Ford Transit van filled with some half-dozen skin-heads can do ... better results collecting from businesses though.

Sorry to hijack, but, I agree with this guy. Hit them hard, where it hurts and there's nothing they can do. If you were to go wallop them, for instance, then the term 'major fraud' would come-up at some point. Of course, if there are a dozen nasty's in this house ... you might be stuffed.

Trust me, I'm not ruling out a little "vacation" ride to Florida......
