I totally agree. I give truckers all respect on the road, but that guy was just an a$$, one of many I am sure, but you just move on and pray he doesn't kill someone.

I would also rather driver with a bunch of truckers than soccer moms or the old folk, driving their RVs they can barely handle while on their way to Florida for the winter. They cause more accidents than truckers.

I have never liked truck drivers that tailgate. An 80,000 pound truck requires a longer stopping distance so the little car is going to get crushed if it stops to quickly or if something happens.

I think it's safe to say, driving a truck is similar to any other employment, as there are some good employees and bad ones. I don't know if there is any coorilation between the guys that drive truck for a company, or own their own truck, but I've seen good and bad. They do tend to get over to the slow lane, more often at night it seams, but you'll have your occassional ass bandit that wants to ride a few feet ahead of another semi in the next lane and block traffic for miles. On my drive down to Mardi Gras in February, I was getting off the Interstate to get onto another highway, and the semi behind me taps the back bumper of the 01 Mustang GT I was driving at about 45mph. Talk about a scary feeling, and the guy with me that owned the car wasn't too appreciative of the mark it left. But that's not to say I hate all truck drivers.
