Multiple trailer semis should never have been allowed. Standards should require better acceleration. Covered load requirements should be more strictly enforced.
There's nothing wrong with multiple trailers. Those drivers are trained more to handle the more tricky combinations. Banning them would make it more costly to ship LTL freight, like UPS or FEDEX ground.
