Are you going to try to make the "one copper is better than another" argument?

If so, good luck to you.

Can I follow it up with my educated big mouth and tell you that most of the Monster gear is not worth the money, and that I can get cables just as "good" for about 1/3 their cost?

Monster doesn't spend money researching more effective methods to make the audio in their cables sound crisp and clean; they simply spend money researching more effective methods to claim that they do on their packaging.

BS, moster spends crap loads of money on research and development to create better and more efficent ways to get a signal (any signal, computer, audio digital, etc.) from one place to another with minimal/no loss in quality

Quote:

Every single major electronics store in America has signed lucrative contracts with Monster where all parties involved receive generous cash kickbacks every time some hardworking American walks into their store and buys their son a new DVD player

BS, kickbacks? Where does this guy pull this stuff from. Most poeple know that cable(any cable) has decent gross margin. Thats where the retailer makes the money. Thats nothing new.

Quote:

If they refuse to buy one of these cables, store employees will sweep upon them like winged leeches

BS, 99.9999999% of sales people will not do this. This guy probably have one of two sales people in his whole life try to puch something on him and now thats all he think sales people are like. I agree that they are pushy sales people and even extremely pushy sales people. I've worked with a few. But don't be a dick to other epople just because you had a few bad experiences. And if you think that all sales people are "leeches" go to hell.

Quote:

How come there aren't any Monster Rap Instrument Cables which excel in reproducing sampled cliched vinyl drum loops for 40 minutes

There is...any of them. They are made to be lossless cables. Use the $2 cable that you bought 20 years ago and you won't hear the true vinaly sound because that cable is corroded through and through and the only sound that makes it to your amp/reciever is the mids and mid-lows. Old cable CANNOT produce the highs that are heard(or not heard) in todays music

Quote:

Radio Shack, the last bastion of cable sanity, doesn't even sell their patented brand of 99-cent Awesome Vision cables

Been there, worked that. RS cables SUCK. I can't tell how many cable I would replace everyday when I was there. Falling aprt, corroding broke-down crap cables.

Ive heard the Monster different, I've see the Monster difference. Go into any retailer that carries them and you can see it. Even ask to see the crappy cable and you'll see that the Monster experiece is awesome!

You don't even have to spend $50(or more) on a sigle pair of analog audio cable to get the Moster quality. Sure there are some people out there that will. If you want good quality cables and the sales person is "pushing" the $50 one, jsut say "hey, give me the standard sereies cable instead" Give me your arguments and I will over come them.

Thats all I feel like writing right now. I just can't type the stuff that needs to be said.

No I won't say that. Monster doens't use only copper in their cables. There are better ways to transfer audio and video than through "snake-oil" copper. Silver is a MUCH better conductor of high frequecies, i.e. video signals and digital audio(digital coaxial, not fiber)
