figures after all this time, my dash is warping like crazy (my top vents don't pop in any more and my speedo rattles real bad too) i know there WAS a recall awhile ago, what are the chances of me getting it done under warranty? my car is still under warranty for another year. maybe i'll just b*tch and moan that i never got the recall letter - what should i do, it's driving me crazy....! thanks.

I'd say sell both your cars and get a GNX. I used superglue (well, epoxy) on my dash and after a year, it's still down. Or just complain until you can get it fixed under the warranty. Good luck with it! I've heard many stories of varying success. Sean

i would just glue it down, but my whole dash is rattling bad because of the warping....i'd love to get a GNX , but i'd be afraid to park it around here even more than the GN (that's new york for ya)...

Heat resistant epoxy and black screws for the vent. Screw the vent into the dash. Doubt you have any open recalls on it and they won't fix it.

Yeah, I feel your pain! Mine touches the windshield! Take a look at the pix of mine over in Pics/Videoes. I am purchasing a '98 dash from a fellow CEG'er..they are a different design and don't warp.

replacing the whole dash by myself seems a little complicated...like i said, the whole speedo is starting to get really loose. i'll be going to ford in the next couple of weeks. i'll just make sure i have a sh*t fit if it doesn't go my way....

mine's been rattling .. i didn't know how to take off the dash, so i stuck a small rubber thing i had laying around between the windshield and dash in the corner.. where it's inconspicuous. seems to be working now, gets rid of the rattles. i'll get something like a round stopper that goes on beakers or test tubes so it's not as noticeable.. hope this cheazy fix might help you like it helped me.
