"I have a Kinetics Racing Speed World Challenge Cougar/Contour race motor for sale. The motor was originally built for Albert Mirko's Contour to race in the SCCA World Challnge series. I purchased it in 2002 from Mirko Racing and had it entirely rebuilt by Allis Machine at a cost of $4,500. for use in our World Challeng Mercury Cougar, but never needed to install it. It has zero time since the entire engine rebuild. The rebuild included new rings, coated bearings, chains, valves, valve spings, guides, titanium keepers, resurfaced head and block, oil pump, hyd lash adjusters etc. To have Kinetics build one of these the costs is about $20,000. The motor has Carillo Rods, lightweight alternator, Ford ECU modified by Ford on the dyno for spark, fuel, etc., custom dyno developed pan, Forged pistons, ported head, max extrude honing 13.5/1 compression and lots of other modifcations for power and reliability. The best of everything that could be done. There was over $20,000 spent on development alone on these motors with Kinetics beside the cost of having it built. The motor has a very wide powerband and will turn out over 290 HP across a wide powerband. This is a full race motor and needs to run on at least Premium fuel. The engine sounds like a nascar race motor, they are pretty awsome road race motors and had an advantage in HP over even the racing 6 Cyl BMW motors used in World Challenge. I will include with the motor a nice stand as you see in the attached picture along with a custom molded shipping crate. This motor is best suited for racing applications as that is what it was built for...Speed and Glory!"
