I didn't think the Cubs were even close to Beltran. I figured he'd be going to either the Yankees or stay in Houston. I think we're going to bring Ozzie out of retirement one last time just for this next season to cover shortstop.
P.S. 'They' keep saying the Cubs will be a contender, but when is it going to happen? Their pitching staff is crap unless they can play to their potential for once. The only one worth anything is Zambrano.
