absolutely, 2.5k and give it most of the clutch and gas all at once, then feed in the rest of both to keep it at the edge of wheelspin. Takes a bit of practice, but I am getting mid 8s with lousy tires. Burning up the clutch may cost mileage, but it's a lot smoother way to eat up the excess power than bouncing the engine against the mounts.
