i was getting a little leary of grinding anymore next to the injector hole on the primary runner. walls were getting a little thin in that area. what do you guys think? primary port is matched to primary port of lim. secondary port is matched to gasket, as is the secondary port on the lim

I dont know the answer to your question but it looks very clean so far. Nice job. I plan on doing the same thing very soon. If there are any other pictures out there of other port jobs I would love to see and compare what people are doing. The picture above is a split port head right?

demon, i live on your page. i am not really wanting to do the complete job myself. i'm just not comfortable enough to ruin a perfectly good set of heads. even if i will get another brand new set when i buy my 3L. i am just wanting to get the major port modification out of the way so that it will not cost me as much to pay somebody to finish the job and give them a proper porting.
to answer your question mapoftazifosho, these are oval port heads that are being modified to work with the split port manifolds. i have the split port gasket sitting on top of the head to work as a guide. all i am using for the port work is a couple of burs that are designed to work on non ferrous metals.

I didn't ask a question.

For some additional pictures, you can look at my site as well. I don't give you instructions on how to do it, but it has some good resources.

not trying to jack the thread but. When you put the motor together, are you gonna cut the middle part of the gasket out? I see it as a slight restriction of the air going into the heads. Hey demon what did you do?
