thats why i go to the aaa office and spend five minutes instead of five hours at the lame dmv.
AAA lines can suck pretty bad too. I just went online, found my plate to be availabe, ordered it online, and about 6.5 years later it arrived.  can do it ALL online though. I just paid my tags online too.

you have to go through the steps like you are actually going to order a plate. then, you can have fun trying all the wacky ideas you can come up with. 
i remember the "good old days" when you actually had to go to the DMV and flip through their books to see if your plate was available. and even then, it didnt necessarily mean it was cuz the books were update every January.

ain't that the damn truth. the key to the aaa is knowing which one to go to. i did not know that one could od it all online.
