If you look close, the rims are off my buddys Cougar, we painted them rattle can black and put a little clear on em, heck of a free mod huh? The exhaust is from Bosal. Anyway, hope to see you guys around, hope we get a meet together, I have some great roads we could run near my house in Bham, mabye we could check out Barber or something.
Its alll good! I am sure I caught you off guard. Some dude outta nowhere just starts running up to the car... yeah... that would do it. Hey and that mod is good stuff. I had some old Cragar wheels that you could not find anymore for my 67 Barracuda and the center of it looked like the ole Cragar classic car standby chrome wheels. Being that they were painted and faded and rock chipped, I had to do something so several coats (and cans) of the spray can chip resistant wheel paint... blue paint...in a spray can, applied to a thin brush for the cragar sign and qtips to get rid of the excess blue over the chrome and it was all good.
Think I am gonna spray paint my hubcaps....unless someone wishes to donate some wheels....

I have tried that dude! And that talked to me like I was some idiot. So... We are stuck with a dyno and that is all. I asked about a driving school and the jerk just giggled!
I want to drive on a road course more than anyone, but... I will just have to stick with Blender.
If yoou can make something happen, then I will be there not only with a camera in hand but with a video cam!!
Barber is focused on the Porsche Driving experience, which given their rates, is a VERY good idea. The couple running Barber used to run VIR and they established a country-club-like system for track days. A monthly fee got you x-number of days on the track. As of ~18 months ago there were no plans to do the same at Barber.
There is always little Talladega--Talladega Grand Prix Raceway. Reasonable rates and car friendly layout for the occasional 'off'. http://www.tgprace.com/

Yep! I talked to them as well. Their prices are actually pretty good too, but they would not allow us to drive there unless at least one of us had a SCCA license and paid for a medical team to be onsite. The medical team was $450 a day, plus the price of the track; which I don't recall what it was right off hand. We would also have to have at least 2 corner workers for every turn. IIRC, for two days it worked out that each of us would have to pay out around $200 or so dollars. I think that was with 12 or so people.
I saw we just show up in the middle of the night. You know, like in that Mazda Tribute commerical.

Hey sounds good to me. We will hook Kim's truck to the gates and rip them open and then tear it up! It would be twice as fun as the daytime cuz we would be racing in the dark "Hey wait I think that turn is right.....HEEEEEERRRRRREEEEE" Bystander - "Wow I didn't know you could drift front wheel drive cars like that!"

I did that this past weekend while we were back home in Greenville.
I was sitting at this intersection, waiting on the light to change, and this 95 tour ran by with rims. So of course, when the light changed I took off after it. I chased them for a short while and was able to catch up to them within a few blocks. I followed them to a club, in downtown Greenville, and once in the parking lot I jumped out of my car introducing myself.
It was at that time that about 5 mexicans jumped out of the tour and started walking towards me. Of course I was all jacked about the car, but I soon found myself surrounded by 5 people that did not speak English at all and did not find my antecks very funny.
I started walking back to my car and opened my door, to pop the hood. One of the guys started yelling and for whatever reason, one of the other guys held him back. Once the hood was popped, I turned around and yelled at them, "Settle the f*!k down homes!". They seemed to understand that... . I raised my hood and they all gathered around smiling while looking at my heatsheild and UIM.
Thank God for Zetecs!!

Welcome to boards Ashley. If you see a black SVTC running around North Alabama with OZ's, that's me.
FWIW I met a guy with a Silver Frost E1 in Athens the other day, didn't seem too interested in the forums however.
