What is it with Germans and nasty designers. Of course Ford was stupid enought to hire that idiot from Audi/VW... but this guy is worse.
The Audis looked bloated or like kids were playing pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey with styling aspects. These BMW's look like they suffered rollover accidents and put the parts back on upside down...
I don't care how it performs... I won't have a car that ugly.

M6 has the same 5 liter v10 as the M5 with the same power. But it is lighter than the m5 so it should be faster!!!!
The current 6 series is awsome in person! I feel that pics do not do it justice. the SMG transmission only have one clutch!! And the one for the m5 an the m6 are built from scratch...None of this , taking an automatic and turning it into a auto/manual crap.
If you guys want to know more, ill contact one of my co workers (i work for BMW NA) and get more info.

I agree, and I'm pissed that the M5/M6 comes only with the SMG (as if I can afford one...). However, clutch pedal-less manuals are better than conventional automatics as there's no torque converter. The M3, for instance, uses the exact same transmission whether it gets a clutch pedal or not. The automatic clutch provides for far better performance than a TC-inhibited slushbox, and if the manufactuer allows (as BMW does) you can even execute a drop clutch launch with one. (Not to be confused with a neutral drop. )
Again though, I still want my damn clutch pedal for the same reason most people don't: Everyday driving. It gives you a more involved drive in general, as well as more control when the white s*** starts falling.

They're also much better than conventional manuals in that they can shift MUCH faster than you could ever hope to.
