Hmm sounds like a good challenge to me. I dunno if I can meet it though. I just ain't quite as crazy as you are Judge! I'd sure love to try. Maybe if we find ourselves all alone during SZ without the wife around we can try, but that would be about it and I'll bet you aren't driving the R1 to SZ.

Are those gearsets able to be installed such that it can hook up to a standard shift mechanism.
I really want to know if we can just have the trans built and slap it right in to the stock hook-ups. If that were the case, I might consider doing it late this year or early next.

Yeah 170 is nosebleed speed, I would never want to go that fast. Not to mention you need tires rated for that speed. Hitting something at 170 is NOT survivable, no matter what you're in.

Buckshot77 and Terry, I thought the ATX had a higher FDR? I thought that would lower your top end? If that's not the case then I'd consider doing it as well. Hmmm, I might drop off my 'tour at spring zing and let, well, PAY Terry to do that!
Oh, I would do 170 in my car! 143 was nice but I'd like to get up to 160.
Ever see the Silver State Classic Challenge? Some guy wrecked at 235mph and the car burst into flames. On board fire suppression system put it out long enough for him to get out then it burst again. He was racing again in a year or two.

He was racing again in a year or two. The problem with changing to the higher FD ratio and trying to go 170 is this- 1) You've got to have enough power to push this brick that fast. Wind resistance increases exponentially so twice as much horspower as stock doesn't equal twice the speed! The only way I'm guessing the car will have an estimated top end of 170 is because we're shooting for 350 wheel horsepower. 2) You gott be freaking nuts like Judge to go 170 anywhere but a race track! Just had to get a jab in their Judge! Rick
