Ok, i just checked the rest of the plugs. Almost every one was ready to pop out with only a few turns of the socket and extention. I didn't need a ratchet to break any of them free. I think the other 4 plugs would have only lasted another few days. But now they're in there good and tight.
So... how did these plugs get so loose? This is my winter car and isn't driven in the summer. Could the extreme heating and cooling of the head cause this since it's aluminum?
It must have been like this for a while since i've been having strange issues with the car. Odd idle, rough idle sturges in power delivery and at other times power drop offs, the smell of fuel in the cabin and vibration in the motor and tranny. Oddly enough as soon as i tightened the plugs most of these issues went away. I guess i'll have to keep an eye on it.
