Which oilpan did you use...or did you do the crossmember conversion? How much did the computer & wiring run you?

its not a tight fit to put in a 2.3L Duratec, its the same size as the zetec

I dunno...I'm not believing him. He said Focus SVT motor, which was a 2.0L Zetec as far as I knew, and at the end of his post he says 2.3L and you guys are talking about the new Duratecs.

He is full of feces...many, many mods need to be done for that conversion. When he was asking for an exhaust not too long ago due to the fact his brother pulled his motor & dropped it ...I can't see him or his help being capable of a swap of anything other than stock - and I'm still skeptical of that

ok, explanation, the cotour zetec i put in there that my brother dropped had an eggshaped cylinder..... i decided to get a pro to do it and i helped him out and the motor we ordered was from a european focus and was indeed a 2.3 zetec i had some sound files for a 2.3 zetec a while ago.... ill get pics soon..... the wiring had to be fabricated it was about 1500 the computer was from a coosorth.... ill get all the specs on it soon..... just dont call me stupid only because you couldnt do it yourself. besides, this forum is about whether a contour would beat a saturn or not, not what kind of motor i have.,

they make 2.3L zetecs?  time to do some research... why is it that when somebody always has this new and exciting thing...they say "I will get pics soon" and of course they never come... Enough knowledge to swap a motor but not enough money to buy a digi cam.

2.0L = Zetec
I have never known of ANY 2.3L Zetecs to exist, let alone one out of a European Focus

Well you brought up the motor. Additionally, the 2.3L is a duratec not a zetec. So you are confused yourself. Who is this professional? Just because a guy can get a motor out of a car does not make him a professional. Why is it so hard for people to understand that we aren't going to believe you if you:
1. Have no pics
2. Cannot grammatically wxpress yourself
BTW, Derek is a very good mechanic.
