I'm sorry! I really wanted to be there.
WOW! You brought the SVT out in the rain!
I hear that you took a ride in the Puffmobile?? Looking to upgrade to a 3L now?
Oh no, not the empty parking space pictures! LMFAO! At least you didn't want to take pictures of the empty chair this time. It's a good thing Madison's horse wasn't there.

Yea , I had to show you I wasn't a total fair-weather SVT poser . Imagine my suprise when you weren't there . Yea , no empty chair photos . I figured it must've been pretty important for YOU to miss a CEG meet .

Yup , took a ride in Puff . It was OK , I thought it'd be FASTER though !! Just kidding , John ! Actually , me likey ... a lot . Nice & torquey . I could get used to that 3L feel , just not for a while , can't afford the 3liter yet . If the engine goes out on the SVT , I'll have a nice 3,000 lb. paperweight keeping my garage from falling up ! LOL !!

Well, knock on wood you won't have to worry about it for awhile. If I were you I'd be saving up for the upgraded oil pan.

I think you'd get more in the way of confidence and insurance with the oil pan. Just my 2 cents.

I'm sure that eventually get the baffled oil pan . Hearing it from the horses mouth (so to speak) about the crank-whip issues , and the LACK of issues in the Mondeos in Europe (where they have the DMD from the factory ) , I think the DMD will be my first mod of the two .

Don't forget to burn me a copy of that CD you had playin' at the Coliseum ... was some good stuff . Much appreciated ! I love stuff like that , but don't know enough about names of songs/artists to feel confident buying stuff .

Allen, I'm not entirely sold on the fact that the DMD actually helps all that much with the bearing problems. But, I'm no expert. Do both!
No problems on recording 'Colours of Shiva' for you.
Doug, check the 3.0L section, that's where most of the posts for the upgraded oil pan were. I have no idea on cost or difficulty yet but I will be doing this mod before Spring; I won't take Puff on the track without that and an oil pressure gauge. I'll let you know then.

Thanks John !

The only real difference between the US & Euro-spec cars is the DMD (that and their lack of a clutch-start switch) , and they don't have the troubles with the cranks . No fancy-schmancy oil pans there . For road racing , the baffled pan is nearly a must , but for "road" use , I'm not sure it's really necessary . I agree 100% , it certainly wouldn't hurt to have that oil pan also , more protection is always good . If I have this car long enough , I will do all I can to help it .

My next mod is the DMD also. We can have a DMD install meet.
