I took pictures of how i bypassed my amp...
Anyway, IMHO... i dont think the bypass made all to much of a difference (maybe i did it incorrectly, highly unlikely though considering the amp is not even in my car!) I would say if you are having this much trouble with it screw it and by the schoesh Plug 'n' Play...

Once again, I did search and NOBODY answered the question! And, STILL nobody answered the QUESTION!

Where do I hard wire the speakers into?? I have my factory amp out! I unplugged both plugs. I extended the harness down from my HU to where the amp was. Now, where do I splice into??

Nobody can give me a direct answer? No insults, no run around, not smack talking, what do I do next?? I ain't buying no more stinking harnesses...I'm hard wiring this baby... What EXACTLY do I need to do?

CarpePoon said to splice into the small plug on the right side of the amp. That's what I need confirmed. One more time....That plug is the output into the speakers, correct? It's a little tiny connector with smaller wires...looks difficult to splice into with them being so thin. That's the one I splice into??

Match them up and wire them. On the left is the plug on the left side of the amp (input) on the right is the plug on the right side of the amp (output)

If I would have known about your bitchy post in the general forums I would never have posted my useful information in the first place. Your lucky that its against my nature to leave people hanging. I've provided you with all the info you need so go figure it out.

if you buy the schoshe harness, is it as simple as just pluging in the two ends? Im not very savy on doing this sorta thing. So if i buy the harness, can you give me a "how-to" as to what needs to be done w/ it to bypass the amp. thanks alot.

Ok, take a very close look at this picture

The bottom (in the picture) plug connects to the plug that would go into the left side of the amplifier. While the top (in the picture) plug connects to the plug that would go into the right side of the amplifier.
The plugs are both unique... you can't screw it up.

But if I extend the speaker wires down from my HU, which plug do I splice into? I thought the output was the left side of the amp and the smaller plug but low and behold, when I was tugging on the other end back up at the radio, it was disconnected on both ends??? So, that leaves me to splice into the other plug but it has 12(?) wires? I take it I just disregard the other wires? Eh?

You know, after this is clarified....I'm sure nobody will ever have an excuse to ever ask this again.

With that said, u basically plug the amplifier into itself right? Im assuming that is what makes the "bypass". after doing this, is their any other wiring that needs to be done i.e. wiring from speaker, wiring to or from the HU? Do the speaker wires still stay pluged into the amp and the amp still stay plugged to the HU as a means of connecting the the HU w/ the speakers and giving a source of power(except the amp is not working b/c the scoche harness is bypassing it?

Sorry if that sounded confusing but basically in laymens terms, im wondering what you do w/ the wires coming from the speakers that were being plugged into the amp which both were getting power from the HU.

Well, think about it this way..."bypass" basicly means "to go around" So that is what you are doing.
Nothing is connected to the amplifier anymore when it is bypassed. both plugs that were plugged into the amp are plugged into the harness instead.
Think of those 8 wires between the two plugs on the bypass harness as your new amplifier... they are where the amplifier would be.

clear as mudd?

ok so i guess my question was...how do the speakers get the power from the HU? (im kinda asking these questions w/out having previously going behind the glovebox to look at it so if they sound kinda obvious thats why)

Im assuming there is a harness that is connected to all the speaker wire and this is to then be plugged directly into the HU instead of the amp (where it used to be plugged into when the amp was powering them)

Thing Im wondering w/ that is...if you did what I just mentioned isn't that basically bypassing the amp anyway b/c the speaker wire isnt running into it anymore???

Basically Im wondering how you hook up the speaker wire to run off the HU after you bypass the amp.

As of right now Im picturing in my head...the amp w/ only the schoche harness plugged into it, nothing else. What else do you need to do to make the HU power the speakers
