I think this should be a stickie in this forum, it holds a pretty good amount of information on zetec and I4 duratec technology.

Just curous, is there any way of switching blocks over from a 2.0 to a 2.3 (like the 2.5 to 3.0 block) that would be cool to do that to the ZETECs, I'm guessing it wouldn't work?

anything is possible... But its more worth your while to just go for a full fledged 3.0L. AND if Im not mistaken the 2.3L is a duratec design and doesnt mate with the mtx-75 transmission (I THINK). So like I said, more worth you while to just go for a 3.0L.

You cannot swap from a 2.0L to a 2.3L.
You would need a whole 2.3L.
You can stroke the 2.0L to a 2.2L though.
Would cost major money and would need to be done by a very good professional as the margin for error is almost zero.
You would probably only gain 15HP.
But mods would gain more HP then if done to just the 2.0L.

It would be about the same cost to just go buy a Contour with a 2.5L.
