I'll never forget trying to shave, 5 people to a mirror, in 5 minutes.

One thing I cannot stress enough that will help you in a MAJOR way thru bootcamp is study beforehand! What I mean is, learn your General Orders, front and back, by number, and perfectly...word for word. You will have to recite these at the most inopportune moments, such as when you're standing firewatch in the middle of the night and an officer decides to do a spot-check...
Also, take advantage of any pool-recruit programs your recruiter offers. These usually entail a bit of prac (the teachings you'll learn in bootcamp), plus physical conditioning. Get used to doing pullups, situps, and long runs, as these three items are required to pass your PFT's. (The Marines, I believe, are still the only service that will kick you out for failing a PFT.) I'm sure someone will correct me, but I think its 13 pullups, 80 situps in 2:00, and then the run (can't remember distance or time, right now, heh).
