So, I'm having problems correctly setting up my network at home which consists of two computer.
One computer has a Linksys WRT54G wired router and the other computer is running a Linksys WMP54G wireless router. I'm having trouble correctly accessing these computers and setting them up to be seen properly on the net work.
In WinXP when I go to Network Places, I can see both computers on the comp with the wired router but cannot access the other computer. It tells me 'networkname is not accessible, you may not have permission'.
In Network Places on the comp with the wireless router, sometimes I cannot see my computer or the other...or sometimes I can see just mine or sometimes I can see both...but when I see both I get the same message as I do on the other computer.
What exactly am I doing wrong?
-the wireless router is encrypted with WEP
-Zone Alarm on the comp with the wired router
-no firewall on the comp with the wireless router
-have selected files that I want to be shared in the network on both computers
-both running WinXP
