I was on my way to work today, and as I was pulling into a parking spot (had the wheel turned left quite a bit) I heard a noise that sounded a lot like a flat tire. (whump whump whump) or the noise you hear when you get a bad throw on a bowling ball (where the finger hole makes the whump sound as it goes down the alley). Anyways, as I was leaving, it still was making the sound, I turned the wheel right, and it stopped the sound. Haven't heard it since. So what could this be. I do have warped rotors, but I am unsure if that could have caused that sound.

Make sure your lug nuts are tight. Mine actually loosened once and I heard a scraping whump whump whump.. Could have been a disaster there!

Check the lugs (tire off the ground) on the wheel you think it is.

You could also have rolled over something, and it fell off when you turned right...

Check those wheels first, look under there for any sign of something being rubbed or worn through.

Good luck!

Check you axle too. Normally a bad axle makes a click click click noise instead of a whump whump whump, but it's worth a look. One more thing, while you got your car on a jack stand, grab the suspension parts and wiggle them around gently.
