To follow up, damn! I can't beleive how much room there is between the tire and the strut perches! I put the tires on, and there's still maybe 4-5 inches left! Compare them to my SHO, which had just over an inch left with oem tires. The Contour has more suspension travel, so I'm confused as to how they managed to cram all that travel into the car with the perches that high, but, hey, whatever works! If I still had a contour in my driveway, I'd be interested in finding out, but that's all over now.
I'd guesstimate that a 245-75/18 would fit under the perch as well. Might need some fender work, though.
