I do care.
1) I have to be able to mount the wheel / tire on the car.
2) I don't have an inane desire to screw the next guy for no reason. The car will have to be towed from the garage to the wholesale lot across town, and someone has to drive that tow-truck, with the Contour in tow. If the tires are rubbing, he/she most likely won't notice during hook-up. If a tire overheats and blows on the way, and it causes an accident, and someone is injured or killed, then my irresponsibility results in grave consequences anyone involved, including my family, as surely I will be held at least partially responsible. No thank you.
Why do you apologize for being negative? It's like telling someone you're sorry that you're about to kill them. It serve no purpose but to attempt to distract from the fact that you are going to do something that is not popular with the other party, except no one ever buys it.
Thanks for the help everyone.
