I think I used to pay about $200-250, and that is in NY where everything is more expensive, so it should be cheaper there.

A lot of the advice some people have given you might not be applicable, as many of these laws vary state-to-state. I know we don't have traffic school in NY, and if a cop doesn't show, you can still get prosecuted, only a lawyer knows the law in your state the best.
