I wasn't there for the 3rd attempt at tuning, and come to think of it, neither was Jim. But I do know that the 2nd time, they did pull an O2 and did a true wideband. That could have been because he was running rich on the front bank and lean on the rear and wanted accurate readings. I'd guess they did the tailpipe as I recall them using that when we first showed up that 2nd trip.
