I kind of just stumbled across this site...and my goodness I can't say enough horrible things about the 1996 V6 Ford contour Gl. I am stunned to see a whole forum devoted to contours and similar models...anyone else feel this way...Come to think of it..it is called Ford Contour enthusiasts...

Well the majority here don't own 1996 Ford Contour V6 Gl's so the "enthusiasts" covers all years all engines all levels. If you DO have an issue with your duratec please let someone know. We just might make an enthusiast out of you.

...and as an owner of a '95 GL, I can say that it has the highest fun/dollar of any sedan I have driven. With some knowledge and reasonable car (obtained from this site!), my car has been remarkably reliable; very few problems.

At 10 years old, the car regularly sees WOT, just for fun. And I love traction control. The rear-view mirror look of snobbish import owners who can't figure out why I simply leave them behind at rainy stop lights is priceless.

well if you were upset by finding this page you are going to be more upset because there are other enthusiast pages on the web

honestly no one is going to like you if you come onto the board with that attitude, we are here because we are enthusiastic about our cars, if your not that is fine but don't waste your time trying to change our minds

but as someone else said let up know what is wrong with your car, if you actually have one still and I bet we can tell you how to fix it and that might change your mind some

If you listed your troubles instead of saying the cars are junk. Maybe there would be more respect for you.

If you only found out about this site after you got rid of your car then it's your loss. Most of us did a web search when we had problems, found the site, fixed our cars and didn't get raked over the coals....

If you bought it used then you should've been prepared for breakage.
No car is immune to problems or ever will be. If you laid down instead of fighting FORD with knowledge, then your at fault.

As you will never be back, go drive your LADA.....

It's not the person's opinion that enraged me but the nerve to come to this Web site and post shite - I would have gladly donated a coupla bux to his Mother not to have any more kids like this prick.
