More like about 1" if you're lucky...

Put it this way.

The stock 1/2" hood blanket rubbed on the UIM.

The 3L valve cover with the top mount oil cap hits the hood.

{edit}
oops..

Let me check the LIM to UIM clearance...

4" from the top of the LIM to the top of the UIM.

Thanks for the info.

for that kenne bell to fit, you'll need at least 10 inches. From the looks of it. That'll just look plain silly cool in a contour. . .

Hmm, the pics I posted were showing up after I posted them. Here are the URL's.

The main body of the supercharger sits above the front valve cover, or atleast that's how it looks in the pic compared to an OEM engine bay. How much clearance is between the valve cover and the hood on a contique? My SVT has an empty engine bay, or I'd just look for myself
The supercharger itself...
The supercharger installed...

Edit: OK, the oil cap on the 3L front valve cover hits the hood like demon said. I'd almost bet that it would sit over the 2.5L's cap or not fit at all, and then there is the hood clearance issue ontop of that....bummer.

Then I'll make the lump bigger and get rid of the birdbath while I'm at it

How much underhood space do you have between the hood ribs and the front valve cover? Time to bust out some clay and find out exactly
