if your car comes stock with a spoiler, there isn't a third brake light on the backdash.
Not 100% true, ford has been known to do stupid things like that. Haven't seen it on a contour yet, but they did it with the taurus and sable. Just cause nobody has stepped forward with it, doesn't mean its not true. I am sure there is someone out there. Just like when everyone said there was no midnight blue interior on a nonsvt, when there was.
As for the 1k, thats gotta be on the new motors. With the oil setup, they had to use it for track racing, There is no point to spending so much on an oil pressure system and not racing it hard around corners. I have done quite the bit to my car with corning, and yet to see these problems. I know it doens't take much.
