No surprise here. I've heard of disposable diapers that are more problem-free and reliable than the majority of vehicles that Ford has bombed dealerships with in the past 5-10 years (the 99 'Tour SVT is my 3rd and LAST Ford, for a number of reasons).
It's a shame, too, since J Mays and Co. seem to really have a good handle on vehicle aestetics and body design (in comparison with just about any non-Corvette vehicle that GM belches out). It's the longevity of engine/drivetrain and ext/int components that ROYALLY suck fumes at Ford, IMHO. And it's not just on the Contour, either.
Here's to hoping some Ford execs see the article and then having the foresight to know what to do with the perceptions and realities contained within.
