No friction modifier is needed when you use the Ford fluid. The dealer should tell you this when you purchase it. They formulated it specifically for the MTX-75 so you don't need any additives. If you use a regular Mercon ATX or synthetic ATF THEN you need the additive!
The factory also said that friction modifier is not needed with the factory fill Mercon ATF. The trans works much better with added friction modifier with the factory fill.
My experience is that the trans works much better with friction modifier added to the Ford honey too.
