Ok, my old Zetec ATX GL had these going for it:

3. Lady that didn't maintain car at all
4. Me who delivered pizza
So I will admit I beat the sh*t out of it, always at 3/4 to Full throttle at every stoplight, lots of passing, etc. So I know I gave that CD4E a workout.
Anyhow, it had problems with the bang shift after driving for extended periods at a constant fast speed (like 80mph on the highway). My brother changed the tranny fluid (took 3 flushes to get the black, burned fluid out!), and it didn't have a problem driving to Texas (bang shift once when I was hot rodding it on the interstate) or a 2000 mile trip to here from Texas.
That car had just under 160K miles when I traded it in, and I know it would have made it to 200K no prob (well, maybe a few). Also had a knocking engine for the 1.5 yrs / 48K miles I had it...
