Weapon-R has developed a new piggy back ECU for the Cougar/Contique that is now ready for sale.
Using a fairly stock Cougar V6 with only intake(including cold air box, see other post) and a cat-back exhaust the Cougar dyno'd at 150 hp to the wheels. After adding the INTERCREW ECU the Cougar then re-dyno'd at 160hp whp.
A 10 hp gain for the ECU alone.
This ecu is currently a STAGE 1: Intake/exhaust.
Future stages(currently under development) will be made available and will include such modifications as SVT Manifold/TB, Forced Induction, 3L.
Installation requires the soldering of a few wires, so most DIYers can do this mod in their own garage. However, if you dont feel up to the task, have your local performance shop install it for you.
Retail price for this ECU is $750 with an introductory sale of $650 for the first 5 ECU's ready to be shipped.
