Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives Forums General Troubleshooting SVT Blower/Resistor NOT covered under recall?

The Blower pack or resistor just went on my 1999 Kansas City SVT Contour (causing the blower to only work on High), brought it into ford expecting to get it covered under the recalls. They said that my particular vehicle was not covered under this recall. Are they feeding me bull, or is this possible?

I don't recall hearing the SVTs were included in the recal, thought is has mostly for 98 and older cars also

I brought my 96 in for this problem and found out that the switch is covered but the resistor recall has expired.

Ask them to show you a copy of the OASIS report from Ford. That will tell if you have any open recalls on YOUR car. They will need the VIN to run the report.
