Well you have to figure out what the hell it is you want. If you're talking a FULL 2000 Contour motor swap, then think again. There are more differences than you think, ie: returnless vs return style, vacuum IMRC v Electric.. If your motor is blown, then a straight block swap should be no problem, or you could just rebuild the block you have for even less, depending on damage. But then again, you say you already have the 3L? I'd think for $750, you could find someone to do the modification to the fuel rail and any other misc mods that you/your brother can't do. But don't think you're going to have this done in a matter of 2-3 days.. Best bet is to have your 3L prep'd and all fuel rail issues figured out before swapping, so you can pull the 2.5L and get to installing the 3L without having much downtime with missing parts.
