Geez! I've pulled dozens of the 4 & 6 cylinder engines and always pull them from the bottom as most cars today require. The cradle can be droped in about 1.5 hours and it makes it easier to seperate the tranny from the engine with out busting your knuckles all up. I thought about pulling from the top, but it seems like a lot of extra work in tight space to be time efficient.

I use an engine lift(obviously),but I lower the engine/cradle assembly on to the legs of the lift and that way it doubles as a dolly to move it out from under the car. I've done this for years on all different makes of cars.
