Witch Volvo board did you post your questions to? If you tried the Canadian Volvo club, the forums aren't very active. (I think you can see a whole years worth of posting on just one page) You should try www.brickboard.com It's the main site. When I had my 1990 740 turbo wagon, the folks there were VERY helpful. (Mind you, I don't know if the FWD forums are of the same quality as the RWD forums.)

But, has a personnal opinion, my parents both have a Subaru Forester and a Volvo V70. If you take the Volvo get at least a light pressure turbo, the standard engine doesn't quite have enought power (at least for someone who drives athleticly). But for long drive, nothing can beat a Volvo seat. The Subaru Forester has been working very well so far. Very nice car also.
