hey everyone...I am a kinda guy who doesn't always believe in mass production is better and sometimes if I do things myself it's better! That's why I am thinking of a way to modify my existing filter box to allow for massive amounts of air in. Has anyone ever come up with anything on this or does the cone filter seem to be the only way? I'll buy the cone filter if I mess it up, and I'm sure I'll end up with it anyway, but I thought I'd put in some time to see if I could prevent wasting my existing, Practicly new K&N! See my point? I'm thinking maybe taking the bottom off and turning the lid upside down as well as turning the filter upside down, rigging some retention clips and making a seal?? I am not going for the Ghetto look either..so if it doesn't look cool and perform well....I'll scrap the whole damn thing! If anyone has any suggestions, I would really apreciate it! thx.
