Get AMD, 1 gig of ram, if your going to do lots of video editing, 2 gigs, get sata hard drives, if you are going to do light editing, 150 gigs will be fine, then medium editing, you might want more, and heavy editing go up towards 400 gigs, you'll be surprised how fast your hard drive fills up, 120 minutes of raw wakeboarding video was around 30 gigs (keep in mind i was using the highest settings). Get a Video card with video in and out, so you can get video from any source. Asus makes the best board in my experince for both Intel and AMD. Since your going all out, get the sound blaster audigy 2 for your sound card. Get a dvd burner, or wait a couple months till the burners the will burn a label onto the disc. I think a 17 inch lcd flat screen will be enough. key board and moune arnt as important, logitech is the way to go. Win xp pro is a must. im trying to think ive missed any thing...naw dont think so, oh, im assuming the computer comes with firewire and USB 2.0.
