Wow. You're snooty about "SVT," and embarassed that you drive a Ford. The issue isn't "the haters," it's your own insecurities.
im not snooty about svt, and also not embarassed about ford, ever heard of jumping to conclusions? every car ive ever owned and been proud of is a ford, im a ford boy born and raised. next time dont get so defensive, i wasnt talking down on non-svt contours, in fact ive bene looking for one, just because i like the cars that they are. geez, chill out dude
Read your own post. Your response to the Contour haters is "It's not a Contour, it's an SVT." That, my friend, is a nose full of snoot. It doesn't bother me, or insult me, but I felt it was worth noting.
I guess I should have used "Contour" in place of "Ford."
And your inflamed response only proves my point.
Defensive? The Contour speaks for itself. I don't defend it. It's a cheap Ford, with world-class handling.
I've got a friend at work who used to own an SN95 Cobra. He knows how much I love these cars, so he tries to get under my skin with "Hey, it's just a Contour!" If only he knew. Anyway, it's just a little joke, and people who are around long enough understand the true character of this car. Otherwise, it's like my little secret, and there's nothing wrong with that.
