Here in the New York tri state area a man with his three daughters was followed home by a group of teens in a car. At the home the man was robbed. When the teens left the man got in his SUV and followed them. One teen got out of the car and started shooting at the SUV and was run over and killed by the SUV turned weapon.

Was it justified.

The other teens were later caught and arrested. Will they be convicted and allow the penal system to change there ways making them into decent law abiding citizens? Well for sure the dead one will not.

OMG!!! A criminal held accountable for his actions by the victim!!!

It's too bad he didn't get the other two. I have no sympathy for any thieves. Do they think that everybody else is just GIVEN these items they are stealing? No. We work for them, just as they SHOULD, but they take the absolute bottom feeder path, and just steal. It's such an incredibly pu$$y way to live. Feeding off and stealing the goods of others who have worked for their living. They'll get NO sympathy from me, that's for damned sure.

I don't have sympathy for those who steal either. I think people who steal deserve whatever they get.

Several years ago, I had lost faith in the legal system because of several cases involving theives suing the owner's of places they broke into because they injured themselves while trying to steal. How retarted of a thought process is this: "Yes judge, while committing a felony, I injured myself, give me money." Give me a break, you injured yourself committing a crime and now you want compensation! In one case, a man tried to cut through a skylight in the atrium of an office building. The skylight couldn't support his weight after it was cut, and he fell through. He hit the ground ten floors below and broke his leg. He sued the owner of the company, and a JUDGE awarded the [censored] 10 million dollars.

Then about two years later, a man tried to carjack a woman's Porsche 911 Carerra in a parking garage. He stood behind the car, with a gun and told her to get out. She didn't get out, instead, she put it in reverse and nailed him. She knocked him over, ran over him with the rear wheels, and then ran over him again as she drove away. Of course she killed the guy, and they brought vehicular manslaughter charges against her. I thought, "Oh here we go again, somebody is going to get screwed because somebody else did something illegal and was hurt in the process." To my suprise, the judge threw the case out. The prosecution's case for VM was based solely on the fact that he was run over twice. Of course, the Judge ruled that her actions were self defense, and therefore not prosecutable.

That verdict brought back some of my faith in the judical system of this country. I just can't fathom thinking that your so whatever that you deserve to be able to take what other people have worked so hard for, and for a time, I couldn't believe the legal system was rewarding theives for committing felonies.

(Oh, I forgot to mention she went to the police right after the incident, it wasn't a hit and run.)

actually, judges dont award damages, though they may reduce it. juries award damages. so if youre gonna lose faith in anyone lose it in the people you pass every day driving down the street.
