Hey folks,

I need a bunch of work done to the SVT. I need both some engine/mechanical work as well as some serious suspension work. I don't have the time nor the resources (and probably lacking in the skill dept. too) to work on the car at my house, so I'm looking for a reputable, reasonable mechanic in or around the Grand Rapids area. I've been fleeced one to many times by Duthler to want to take it back there. Any body know of anyone?

I can do mechanical. What do you need done? Maybe some suspension. I'm not swapping springs and struts. Stazi in Detroit can do that if need be. Bushings, endlinks, tie rods then yes.

Well, I need an O2 sensor replaced, plugs, wires, coolant flushed (could do this anywhere yes). The car is showing a failed Cam Shaft Position Sensor, which I replaced, but it only temporarily fixed the isse. The dealership said it's most likely a timing belt issue.

Suspension, i have a TON of clunks and rattles that need to be fixed. Some of which are causing some vibration at speeds. I don't know if it's endlinks or sway bar links or what. The car has almost 100k on it and hasn't had a lot done as far as maintenance, so I know there's a lot that should be done.

There's no timing belt on the V6. You might want to try a second opinion on that one.

When I had my SVT I took it to Redeker Ford in Grand Haven. I know it's out of the way for you, but I was always impressed by their care for your vehicle. The owner/service manager is a long time friend which may have helped in my case. At any rate, I would tell Jack Redeker that you were referred to them by kenny and todd and he'll watch your vehicle extra close.
He used to keep mine inside the whole time it was being serviced, even if a part was on order.
just an idea.....
good luck anyway.

PM me. I have OBD software to pull the codes. I can do plugs, wires in about 20 -30 minutes. Coolant flush will take a little longer. I can take a look at the suspension to see if I see anything. Let me know. I'm on the NW side of GR.

yeah, i took it there when the engine crapped out 2 years ago. He just takes a while, although that was a last minute thing. I should give him a call and see if he can get it in. Todras, i'm in east town, I'll PM you in the next few days see if we can meet up.
