hi, i know this has been talked about, but when i searched, all i got was mixed opinions and was not sure waht was the right answer.

I have a mercury mystique 95 ls mtx v6, and have a super chip(nun3), right now the governor for my car is at around 110, and i wanted to know if the super chip will take this limiter off and let me drive faster. also if someone could pls tell me waht the performance gains would be like, hp and stuff. thanks in advance for the help.

looks like average HP gains on a MTX is about 5-10HP and a ft-lb or two of torque. I like mine, definately more power for me!

I have a 98 EO SVT so no governor issues- The superchip has been a nice addition for me. They claim 5-10 over stock which I think is a bit generous. I like the performance of the chip in terms of overall drivabitity. My chip is burned to run well with basic intake and exhaust mods and that is where I really notice the difference. It seems to tie the mods together better, and does allow for better fuel mapping and secondary intake control. It does throw a cel on a regular basis though which can be annoying. It has never given me any problems though and does help the computer when you start throwing on intake and exhaust mods. I'm to the point now where any new mods will require the chip to be reburned.

fahad why not just try it out. see how you like it. it isnt hard to put it in, and even easier to take out. i think this is the only way to make your mind up. try it for a week, i think you will be happy with it. i am happy with mine.
