To answer your question Roger, yes Duratec 35's are going into the 500/Montego/Freestyle.........but it probably won't be until 2006 (possibly even late 2006). Ford has been pretty tight lipped about it, and I'm hoping during the autoshow circuit coming up we will get some sort of info other than what we have now. I'm assuming horsepower will be right around the 250-260 range so people can continue to burn Regular unleaded in them.

The Fusion/Milan, I have no idea whatsoever about. I would think because they are Mazda 6 based they will use the Duratec 30 with VVT, and similar transmissions.

As far as the Yamaha V-8 (which is a reworked SHO engine), Volvo went with Yamaha because Ford didn't have any V-8 engines that fit the requirements set forth by Volvo ( the engine had to sit transversely like the other engines and fit in the small engine bay), not to mention emissions BS.
