Maybe I am snooty but I wouldn't pay $200 for a Japanese watch.

I'm not a fan of high polished SS on a watch, but the face is classic chronograph and looks good.
I haven't worn Seiko in years, but I do remember them being quite reliable for the money spent.

Go Swiss! stay away from japanese movement. I currently wear an ESQ and its great. Movado and Tag are cool too. Tag has more of the sporty look you are going for though. I am sorry, but seiko seems kinda cheap. Don't they sell seiko at wallmart? I had one of those citizen eco-drives. It was crap! The watch repiar guys and I were on a first name basis the year I owned a citizen.

Check Ebay for Seiko Kinetics, especially the titanium bodied ones to understand that they can cost $500 - $1000 easy.
Seiko makes many lines of watches and there value is unbeatable as they are not a small production house with inflated prices. Titanium is the only way to go unless you don't mind lugging around a 1lb strap on your wrist.

IMO, if I am going to buy a Jap watch I'll take the 20 dollar timex thank you. I paid about $120 for my esquire, new, not on ebay over 5 years ago and it still is running strong.
I like the titanium idea though that is why I want to get one of these in the near future.

Man. $200 something for a watch.
I guess that's something I'll understand when I get older, but I'm fine with my $30 Casio. It's chrono too, and has a digital display at the bottom.
And it still does the same basic function. Tells time.

There is a guy i believe his screen name is Ray G. He's not on here much any more but he is a watch dealer in Newport RI. I think he specializes in super highend stuff, but try looking up his profile and see if he has email in there. He sold his svt a while back for an SRT 4 got rid of that and got a ZO6. I'm sure he can give you some good info
