Sex education is something that should entirely be left to parents. I'd rather our kids learn science, math, and history instead.

Growing up with Puritanical and repressed parents, I disagree with this. I learned not a single thimg from my parents regarding sex. As a child, I was not even allowed to go to the public swimming pool, the beach, or even watch the womens events of the Olympics because the women "...are dressed like hussies and whores."

I was never taught anything about sex, never told "were babies come from" or the difference between men and women, only that women and subservent to men.

Perhaps this is why I lost my virginity at 13, when I was sent to stay with my sister in Ohio over the summer.

Do you really want parents like mine teaching children (or more accurately, NOT teaching) about sex?

Sex has an extremely big impact on the lives of all people, more so than any other subject in school, as reproduction is the strongest and most basic instict. It is only right that people be educated about it. The education should also be comprehensive, STD's, contraceptives, abstanence, biological processes, and that damn Miracle of Life video. Ain't no one wanting to have sex after seeing that thing!
