Ok guys I'm about to test out the eec tuner on my car but need to use the blue wire mod to get it close before dyno time. How do I do this? What do I use to read it?

Thanks.

So far as I know the blue wire mod applies to the Apexi SAFC install and readings. I'm guessing you could maybe splice a voltmeter into the same wire you do with the apexi and read the voltage the same way. You might try to PM L8 Apexing Aussie (Anastazi) about this.

I believe it is pin 76...should be white with a red stripe. That will tap the front bank O2. The blue wire does refer to the afc.

If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

Pin 87 (White w/red stripe) is the Bank #2 front O2 sensor. The "blue wire" refers to the AFC's input for a 2nd MAF (on a dual MAF car) that we use to monitor O2 values. You'll get a voltage from 0 - 1 VDC. For max power, tune to .94 volts at WOT. At idle and cruising, it should oscillate above and below .45 volts (once warmed up).

EDIT: OK, its pin 87 on an OBD-II Duratech. I have no idea what pin to use on a Taurus. And the .94 volts at WOT is also for Duratech only. Your results may vary (especially with a pushrod motor).

I have a 3.0 Duratec 24v and a 3.0 pushrod.

Thanks for your help anyway.

If you are doing this on the DOHC 3.0, then .94 volts should just work fine.
