How can you pull the tranny without removing the subframe or engine? I just purchased a tranny and from looking at it, I would venture it would(if it could) pull through the top. Any advice hints ..... etc would help me greatly.

I did search, couldnt find anything. confused

Engine stays in subframe comes out. Its fairly easy to pull sub-frame so don't sweat it.

The engine has to come down 10-12 inchs so the bellhousing will clear the inner fender. I just done this a week ago. PM terry haines he is ver resourceful. Here are some pics from my car that will show what you are getting into. Where the engine setting now is just enough room to get tranny out.

Oh and its not very easy if you don't have a lift

Damn I dont want to do this but I guess I have to. Did you need to remove fuel lines or anything to do with the ac compessor?
Thanks

The fuel lines need to come loose becuse they are solid hoses but then they go to a rubber hose you will need to take them off to get easier acces to the starter that you will need to take out. Take the ac compressor loose from the block and just let it hang. Take loose the round evaporator left driverside kinda looks like a big metal bottle there is a clamp that holds it take it loose at where there is a little screw that hold the clam together. allwaterpump hoses battery and battery tray powersteering hoses vaccum hoses ,main serpintine belt. Take the exhuast loose at the Cat just let it hang. Take off struts let brake calipers hang by tieing them up. Take steering loose at knuckle inside of car down close to the floorboard. These are just a few things. You need to get a tape recorder and call terry haines up at HMS and he will tell you how to take everything apart part by part. It can be a big project if f``k stuff up. but if all goes smoothly you and another person might might I use that word loosly be able to get it dropped down and the tranny pulled in four hours.
