it cannot void the complete vehicle warranty, but it will void all related portions of it.

It's all about balance.

I recently had warranty work done on my car, Ford payed for the wrecker to tow it and replaced the broken CV joint. The tech and service writer at the dealer saw all of my mods, they asked questions about what all was done to it and how it ran, but there was never any question as to whether waranty would cover the repairs.

Adding the part would only cause warranty problems if component failure could be related to the installed aftermarket parts(s).
It also depends on how big of a weenie the service writer-service management wanted to be if the component failure could be traced to the installation of aftermarket parts.
I have warranteed repairs on vehicles that were chipped (Audi's) because the customer was cool about it, and they were regulars.
