The standard GT seats were the same from 99 to 04 with the exception of minor changes. But, like I said, virtually every "special edition" Mustang, except the 99 Cobra, has drastically better seats than the std base and GT seats.

With Money I do realize you can get a Mustang to handle much better than stock. Stock ones I drove just were not impressive to me. I wasn't hanging the ass end out on curves so maybe thats what I was doing wrong
With a few specific exceptions, a stock mustang doesn't handle that bad at all. And as far as not being impressive, its because you are comparing it to lightweight fwd cars as far as feel; its nowhere near the same feel. Most "FWD people" just don't understand the difference in feel, and automatically come to the conclusion that "this car sucks". And fwiw, hanging the ass end out, is the SLOW way around a corner, unless you have no grip like a rally car on gravel.

I think living in an area that is populated by 6.5million people and knowing that Mustangs are a top ten selling car here in Cali would make you understand they are everywhere and how/why I have formulated my opinion.
I'd love to see your source for that top ten in cali stat. I don't believe it. Further, I'm in Dearborn everyday, I live, work, eat, sleep, and play with Mustangs EVERY DAY, and they are far from the boring, ill-handling, everyman slugs you portray them to be. Plus, I grew up in Cali, spent 22 years of my life there. I've been where you've been, and even further, and still don't understand your ill-informed opinion of mustangs.
Granted, I'm a little biased, but so are you . . .
